Workington Town need to take points off York and Rochdale - Bowden

Workington Town chairman Dave Bowden says his side need to stamp their authority over their possible play-off rivals over the next few weeks.
Town travel to York on Sunday and then host Rochdale the following weekend, the two clubs just above them in the Championship One table.
And Bowden says taking points away from them now, will give Town an advantage if the sides meet in the play-offs.
“If we do well in these games we can start to establish ourselves at the top end of this middle group that are following the top three teams,” said Bowden.
“We are looking to certainly win our home games and if we can take points from York away and Rochdale at home that would be great. It would help us consolidate our play-off position and we could start to establish some superiority.
“If we get to the play-offs it is likely our game will be against York or Rochdale away so if we can get a foothold now it augurs well.
“These are all big games for us now but it is not do or die against York on Sunday. If we do lose it is not the end of our play-off hopes we still have other games left.
“But wins against both of them would really open the league right up.”
Workington have been York’s bogey side in recent years and Bowden hopes that continues this weekend.
He added: “We can say we have been their bogey side but then we went there one year in the play-offs and got a tonking.
“We have been unpredictable this year, when we have expected to lose we have won some and vice versa but this is a big game for us.”
